Jones Antique Lighting is linked with the PAYPAL payment gateway. This allows customers to pay for their lights online in a secure manner via their PAYPAL account or via a credit or debit card if a customer does not have a PAYPAL account set up. Alternatively payment can be made via BACS but this must be arranged directly with Jones Antique Lighting. Jones Antique Lighting will accept payment by cheque but this must be cleared before goods will be released for delivery. Customers can only pay by cash if collecting their lights in person. Payment must be made in full before any items are removed from sale. Jones Antique Lighting will not accept any form of holding deposit. Jones Antique lighting retains the right to cancel any sale to any customer up until the point of delivery. Under no circumstances will goods be released for delivery until payment for the goods and delivery has been received in full.
Returns Policy
Customers can return items for a refund or exchange within 28 days of delivery. Once goods have been returned to Jones Antique Lighting in their original condition then a full refund will be issued. Jones Antique lighting will not offer a refund or exchange on any goods returned after 28 days. Please note Customers will be liable for all delivery costs incurred. Jones Antique Lighting will not offer a refund or exchange on goods returned damaged or items purchased “AS FOUND”. Your statutory rights are not affected.
“As Found” items
Due to the age of our lights glass often gets small cracks or chips and metalwork can often pick up small dents and imperfections. If this damage is deemed significant enough to reduce the value of a light we describe the light “AS FOUND”. Lights described “AS FOUND” will always be priced in accordance with their condition, which can be as much as 50% below the normal sale price. Customers are always welcome to obtain a detailed condition report from Jones Antique Lighting on any “AS FOUND” item before purchase.
Packing and Delivery Service
Jones Antique Lighting offers 2 types of packing and delivery service: insured and uninsured. Please note that for larger items or higher value goods we reserve the right to only offer an insured delivery service. Delivery is estimated to take 4 to 5 days from payment. However, Jones Antique Lighting cannot be held liable for the late arrival of goods. Customers who are not available to receive their goods upon delivery may incur an additional redelivery charge up to the value of the initial delivery cost. Customers are welcome to arrange the pick up and delivery of their goods if they so wish.
Uninsured Delivery:
An uninsured delivery is completely at the customer’s risk and there will be no compensation awarded by Jones Antique Lighting if their purchase is late, lost, stolen or damaged in transit.
Insured Delivery Service
Our Insured delivery service pays out up to the full value of your purchased goods if they are lost, stolen or damaged in transit.
Making A Claim For Lost or Stolen Goods
If your lights have not arrived within 7 days of dispatch then customers must report this to Jones Antique Lighting, Jones Antique Lighting will then investigate and attempt to recover the consignment within 28 days. If goods are unrecovered by Jones Antique Lighting within 28 days then they will be presumed lost or stolen and you will be entitled to a full refund. Failure by any customer to report their delayed, lost or stolen consignment to Jones Antique Lighting may result in the delay of the recovery of their goods or any compensation they may receive.
Making A Claim For Damaged Goods
Due to the fragile nature of our lights it is imperative that all lights sent via an insured delivery MUST be checked and inspected for any damage at the point of delivery and reported to Jones Antique Lighting within 24 hours. PLEASE NOTE: Customers who fail to report damaged goods to Jones Antique Lighting within 24hours of delivery will not be entitled to any form of compensation.
Claims for damaged goods will require the customer’s full cooperation in order to process a claim. Failure by any customer to cooperate with Jones Antique Lighting and the claim process may result in the delay of any compensation they receive. Please note that claims can take up to 30 days to process and for refunds to be issued.
Once a claim has been processed customers will be offered a repair if applicable or a partial cash settlement. If a customer in not satisfied with this settlement then they will be entitled to return all good to Jones Antique Lighting for a full refund, however any charges involved with the return of these items will be at the customer’s own expense. Please note that our “returns policy” above still applies in this instance.
Incomplete Deliveries
All items are thoroughly checked prior to consignment. However, if you believe your order to be incomplete in any way you must report this to Jones Antique lighting within 48 hours of delivery.
