A beautiful abalone-shell leaded plafonnier of hexagonal form in the style of Montelius. Set with opal-coloured nautilus shells complemented with green & red coloured-glass cabochons. The coupe mounted into an intricate handcrafted wooden framework with further glass cabochons inset. Bronze fitments for suspension; Dutch/German c1900.
