The hand-crafted framework features a delicate, stylized cage of uncurling ostrich fern fronds and coiled plant tendrils, beautifully capturing the brief historic window when British metalworkers blended the structural integrity of the Arts & Crafts movement with the organic elegance of English Art Nouveau. The frame holds its original large vaseline glass lampshade probably made at Thomas Webb & Sons due to the distinctive “cascade” pattern. England. c.1900
