A pair of art deco moulded glass plafonniers designed with a geometric border and stylised peony-type flowers by Jean Noverdy but apparently unsigned; with replacement brass fitments for suspension. France, c.1930.

Jean Noverdy, Dijon

  • Jean Noverdy opened his glassworks in Dijon, 17, Place Bossuet.
  • Using the same techniques of Daum Frères, André Delatte and Muller Frères he created acid-etched vases and shades in the style of the school of Nancy.
  • Between 1926 and 1928, he is present at the Salon de la Société des Artistes Français in Paris.
